Food We Love

S’mores Brownies

I love brownies and I love s’mores!  A few years ago I attempted to make a  s’mores brownie recipe that I found on Pinterest and they were awful.  I’m not sure what I did wrong but they were the most disgusting dessert I have ever made 🙂  Since then I have wanted to try again, but didn’t want another disaster.  Today I finally decided I would give them another shot.  These are really sweet, but really good too! I hope you enjoy 🙂

S’mores Brownies

Graham Cracker Crust
3 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 2 packages)
¼ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup butter, melted
1 Box Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie Mix (or 1 box of your favorite brownie mix)
If using Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie mix you will also need the following:
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
If not using Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie mix use whatever ingredients your mix suggests 🙂
Marshmallow Topping
1 bag mini marshmallows
Graham Cracker Crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 pan and set aside.

Mix together graham cracker crumbs, sugar, salt and butter until combined. Pour into prepared pan and press into an even layer.  Bake for 13-16 minutes or until it sets and begins to brown.

Follow mixing instructions for the type of brownies you decide to make.  Once mixed, top your graham cracker crust with brownie mixture evenly.  Bake for 18-20 minutes or until done.

Marshmallow Topping
Once brownies are done remove from oven and change oven temp from bake to broil. Pour the entire bag of marshmallows on top of done brownies and spread them evenly. Press them slightly in and then return to oven until marshmallows begin to bubble and brown slightly.  Remove and let cool.  Cut up and enjoy 🙂
